I was born in March 1976 and brought up in Belfast during a period that became known as The Troubles. I gave my life to Jesus at a Youth for Christ event in Belfast at age 13, 10th June 1989. I walked up to the front of the Ulster Hall in front of 1,500 people to publicly acknowledge I had given Him my heart.
I left Northern Ireland for university in Scotland where I met Mike, settled down and had two beautiful daughters, Gracie and Zoe. Life has thrown us a few curve balls: my dad was killed in a car crash just before Gracie was born and our remaining parents died from cancer in subsequent years. In 2015, just when we thought life was returning to a semblance of normality, Gracie (then aged 10) was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. It is with very grateful hearts we watch her thrive. More recently, Zoe (13) was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis and we are yet again, learning to navigate another new normal…

In all my seasons of life, one thing is clear, I need Jesus all the time.
When I track my life’s journey and chart the hardest of times, I can see it is not only where I have needed Him most but where I have grown the most. The past 20 years have been all about learning to hear His voice, get to know Him more intimately and fall in love with Him more. These blogs are born out of my conversations with God, my dreams with God and I share them simply because He told me to. I hope that you will be encouraged, find hope and most of all encounter the One who created you and loves you beyond all measure.
